Course Description 

The objectives of this course is to introduce participants to the main principles of business and social excellence, to generate knowledge and skills to use methods, models and methodologies towards identifying the areas that affect the efficiency in organisations and adopt strategies towards improving them.

• Difference between effectiveness and efficiency and how do they apply to the organizational context. 
• Why do we need to focus on improving efficiency in organizations.
• 5 S and quality management approaches.
• Methods, models and methodologies to improve efficiency.
• ISO and its impact on the efficiency in organizations. 
• Organizational skills for efficiency. 
• Lean management and six sigma.

Course Objectives 

The objectives of the course are to enable participants to:

• Develop an understanding as to why we need to focus on efficiency in organisations. 
• Get acquainted with the “wastes” that impact negatively on efficiency of organisations and how to apply the 5 S and quality management approaches to eliminate them. 
• Understand the need for standardization and how ISO enables organizational efficiency. 
• Learn and implement methods, methodologies and approaches towards bringing efficiency at all stages of operation in the organization 
• Get an understanding of lean management and six sigma and how it enables efficiency.
