This course is designed for individuals/students who wish to learn the basic aspects of Credit Unions providing Banking and Financial Services as Cooperatives. The programme seeks to teach learners the various nuances of Micro & Macro Economics by addressing key topics such as Credit Union Operating Principles, Policy and Compliances of Credit Unions and Financial Management in Credit Unions. It is especially useful for individuals who wish to group and start a cooperative society.
Credit unions are not-for-profit organizations that exist to serve their members. Like banks, credit unions accept deposits, offer loans and provide a wide array of other financial services. But as member-owned and cooperative institution, credit unions provide a safe place to save and borrow at reasonable rates.
