At work, some disagreement is inevitable. Quite often these disagreements lead to arguments and ultimately take shape of conflict. Conflict can arise for various reasons and particularly involve two or more people who have diverging values, approaches or opinions or ways of dealing with matters.

Conflict can be detrimental to an organisation if it happens in a situation where there is absence of management or poor management.

Conflict management is an approach that look into ways of “nipping the problem in the bud” and defusing the situation early-on, before it has time to develop into a deadly battle of wills.
