Course Title: Public Relations


Course Outline 


The Public Relations Online Course by Civil Service College, Mauritius, comprises of 9 sections. The first one begins with the introduction chapter, followed by definitions as well as history and evolution. After these 3 first sessions, our course emphasises on the roles and functions of Public Relations, its importance and challenges in crisis and post-pandemic times, PR in practice: international and local examples, How to draft a PR strategy. And finally, we will focus on the keys to good Public Relation strategies.

At the end of each section, you will have some reflexive questions and activities. And by Week 4, there will be a small practical exercise. Upon completion of the 8th session, you will have a final assessment based on a Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) test during Week 9. You will have 30 minutes to complete the test and thus reply to 30 short questions. Please note that the Pass Mark is 80% and that you have a maximum of 3 attempts. Failure to achieve the 80% rate after these attempts imply that you retake the course from Week 1.
